Established in 1984, the North West London Psychotherapy Centre is an organisation of experienced, qualified Psychotherapists. Unlike some organisations we do not espouse one specific type of therapy. In our experience some therapeutic approaches are more suitable than others for a client. Our therapists are from different schools of psychotherapy and offer a number of diverse approaches.
We believe that the essence of therapy is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which the client is able to explore his or her past experiences, current difficulties and future possibilities.
For many people considering psychotherapy there is often little or no framework from which to make the choice of therapist or type of therapy. Finding a suitable therapist may therefore be a difficult task and we feel that it is important that someone seeking psychotherapeutic help receives guidance in this decision.
We offer an initial assessment session in which all of these issues can be discussed. We will then make a referral to a psychotherapist from our organisation whose therapeutic approach is compatible with the needs of the client.
All our Therapists are sensitive to issues of race, gender and sexual orientation and are drawn from all sectors of the community
